I have these bugs near my kitchen window inside the house. They appear to be hard shelled and fly. Don't know where they come from or what they are. Anybody know??  |

IDK what they are but we have them at our house to!! I thought they were lady bugs but I could be wrong.

They are lady bugs and I have plenty of them to! This is the first year I have had them.

Last Friday when it warmed up, I had a few. They look like lady bugs, but I am not sure if technically, they are!
As far as I know, they are harmless.

They look like a lady bug but they are probably Asian Beetles.

I believe Asian Beetles and Lady bugs are the same thing....... also known as Asian Lady Bugs

This is the second year we have had them all over the sunny side of our house when they hatch in late October. They came inside through the air conditioner vents until we put the winter cover on. We vacuum them up but still find some flying around in February. They like to mass together which makes it easy to vacuum them. We have thought they are lady bugs.

I was told they are "Asian Lady Beetles, aka Japanese Ladybugs" and to be sure I should gather a few, count their spots to see if they had about 19 and then crush them to see if they gave off a bad smell -- you have to love the bug folks! I'll have to keep this one in mind for the next visit of the grand-nephews...

Orkin just came to my house to spray for them. They are in the lady bug family but they are infact Asian beetles. I had bad flies too.

We get Ladybugs every year. They have never caused any harm, the kids love them and they are supposed to be good luck. Personally, I would rather have some ladybugs in my house than the chemicals that were used to kill them!

if they are Lady Bugs - they don't harm house plants - AND do love to eat Aphids - a common house plant pest......
