Two parter. Wooden unit with metal handle and compartments. Second part is quite long, cast iron(?) with a wooden handle. What is this?

My guess is that because of the curve in the end of the stock, the "chisel" piece was kicked with the upper leg- though I'm not sure what it's for

First one is an antique bench for an early version of a battleship game

second is a primitive rhinoceros earwax remover

This is a tool used to re-shoe a horse, and the tool box to carry new shoes, and other accessories (nails, etc.).
You hold the tool by the handle in the middle, and put the wood part against your shoulder, to slide the flat part under the old shoe.
