On my walk through the community woods trail  the other day I discovered that someone had built and placed --in great locations, I might add--several sturdy and appropriately built benches.  I have discovered that Steve Leach ( BFA 2011) has built them as an Eagle Scout project.  Thank you Steve!!!

The signs look great to me Red Neck.

Since they bother you so much maybe you could volunteer your time this weekend to freshen up the paint.

Henry; they are on the community woods trail, not the paved rec. path.  I don't know if you have walked the woods trail.  It is truly beautiful.  I will be glad to give you a tour should you wish.

My wife would like to know where community woods trail is at.
Could someone please describe where it's at?

The trails are in the woods behind the soccer fields at BFAF.  There is a sign/map to the left of little red shed on the field, and there is another sign in the back of the Handy development by the woods.  The north side of the trails are in the woods along side the land that the town didn't buy.

The trails are 12 feet wide, and most of them have signs.  They are easy to follow, and one can spend a good bit of time wandering them; the woods are beautiful.
If Edited Guest's wife would like, I would be glad to take her on a grand tour.

The current signs were NOT made by an Eagle Scout; I checked with him to make sure & some years back, his signs were repainted by the daughter of Mr Mrs Greg Beeman.; not sure why she re-did the original signs, maybe they needed repainting!

Thanks...
And thanks Rev.

We're familiar with where the trials are but haven't been there in quite a while.  We (or at least Cathy and CoKo...the pug) will check them out!

Don't mean to get off topic but just wanted to show David where I was going with my original post. This is directly from this forum:

"The original signs WERE made by a very special young man for his Eagle project some years ago; in my opinion they were much more realistic.  However the signs now were made by a young girl, whom asked permission to redo the signs from the original creator & permission from the landowners to put them up. Maybe check with a coworker @ our in town real estate agent for more info."

I just meant that it might be another project idea for another scout. Wasn't looking for the sarcasm.

No sarcasm intended.  Why should it be the job of somebody else to fix the signs?
