Sidney A. Fay, Sr.

Huntington - Sidney Albert Fay, Sr., 77 passed away unexpectedly at Fletcher Allen Health Care on Saturday June 4, 2011.  Sidney was born in Westford, VT on August 5, 1933 son of the late Floyd and Alida (Sweet) Fay.  He married Janice Tinker on September 29, 1954 in Jeffersonville, VT.  He worked at Lathrops driving a log truck for years until he retired.  Dad liked to go camping, walking in the woods, working on wood projects, growing flowers and collecting all kinds of clocks.  He liked to winter in FL.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Janice (Tinker) Fay of Huntington;  Six children;  Gary Fay and wife Sindy of Huntington;  Roberta Bersaw and husband Jeffrey of Monkton;  Alice Salter and husband Randall of Huntington;  Wallace Fay and wife Pamela of Bristol;  Sidney Fay Jr. and wife Kimberly of Georgia;  Jeffrey Fay of CA;  Thirteen grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren;  Several sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his special buddies “Bella” and “Sandy”.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother and sister-in-law.

Visiting hours will be held at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel on Wednesday June 8, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Lynda Hadley officiating.   Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions in Sidney’s memory can be made to Richmond Rescue, P.O. Box 404, Richmond, VT 05477, www.richmondrescue.org.  Arrangements are by John D. Workman, A. W.
