I just received a call from a Nichols Road Resident who was wondering what was going on.  Apparently State Police & Fox 44 News up there running around - I have no idea what is going on.

Wow! I live on that road and since I've got my drapes closed to keep my house cool I completely missed them going by.  I did hear some cars racing by but that is not an unusual occurrence...

Both Channel 3 and Fox 44 reported it on their evening News last night:

A fight over a horse -- led to gunfire in Franklin County. Police say a fight broke out -- on Nichols Road in Fairfax this afternoon -- over who owned a horse. Troopers say a physical altercation between a 38-year-old woman -- and a 46-year-old woman ended when someone fired a gun into the air. No one was hurt. Police say charges are pending -- and the case is still under investigation.
