Please remind any friends, neighbors, or relatives who have lost Internet or phone due to Irene
that the library is open and can provide these services for them.

This is true throughout the state of VT.  Many libraries in hard hit areas are extending hours and opening their
doors as "community centers".
Only one public library in VT that I know of - West Hartford Public Library - sustained serious damage.
