Albert's parents, Hazen & Marion lived in the house on the corner of Main & School Street.  Hazen was a Mail Carrier her in Fairfax

Monson- Albert T. Wilcox, 85, a resident of Monson since 1955, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Born May 8, 1926 in Fairfax, VT to the late Hazen and Marion (Taylor) Wilcox he attended Fairfax High School and retired in 1988 from the Belchertown State School as a stationary fireman. Albert was a member of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church in Monson. He was active in many community organizations including the Day Spring Lodge of Masons, Monson Finance Committee, M-Pact, Monson and Palmer Senior Center, Monson Cemetery Commission, and was a member of the Retirement Association for Massachusetts State Employees.

Albert leaves his wife Lois (Clark) Wilcox; a son Russell M. Wilcox of Brookfield, MA and seven step-children, Robert DeLand of Springfield, Alan DeLand of Monson, Mark DeLand of Rochester, NH, Robin DeLand of Monson, Darleen Brouthers of Monson, Alana Nolan of Belchertown, and Allison Romaniak of Three Rivers; 19 step-grandchildren, 25 step great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Al was pre-deceased by his first wife Barbara (Bordeau) Wilcox and a brother Keith Wilcox.

Services will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at Lombard Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be from 4-6pm with a funeral service held at 6pm and the Masonic Evergreen Service concluding the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church Main St. Monson, MA or the the Monson Senior Center Main St. Monson, MA 01057.
