Tax Helpers needed by United Way

Are you familiar with Turbo Tax and computer and have some time to help in your community?
United Way is looking for volunteers to lower income individuals determine if they are eligible for this service, answer basic tax questions, help people with log-in and other basic computer tasks, ensure they have completed the tax forms, and help print a copy of their filed returns. All this happens at a designated FastTax site from early February through mid-April.

Training and equipment for the volunteers is provided, and United Way will make a schedule around your available hours.

This help is also invaluable to ensure eligible families in our area receive the Earned income Tax Credit.
