Colchester, Vermont - One person is dead and another in critical condition Saturday night after two cars collided Saturday morning in Colchester, Vermont.
Emergency responders worked to remove two people from their cars on Route 7.
Police say Patrick Keefe, 23 of Saint Albans was heading south when he crossed the center line and struck Shelby Roberts, 74 of Colchester.
Both were taken to Fletcher Allen.
Police say Keefe died.
They're still trying to figure out what caused the accident.
"It's still under investigation. We haven't really determined the cause of the crash yet," said Corporal Mark Jacobs.
That stretch of Route 7 was closed for more than two hours.
