CONGRATULATIONS
Dale Fisher, Vice President and Security Officer of Peoples Trust Company; was recently awarded the Certified Financial Services Security Professional (CFSSP).designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB), a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, in Washington, DC.
Fisher is a graduate of Champlain College with a degree in Business Dale Fisher Management. He began his career in the Security Department of Peoples Trust Company in 1992. The technological changes over the years have opened up new avenues for fraud to occur. The Security Officer's responsibilities have grown from just combating traditional types of paper fraud to educating staff and consumers on types of electronic fraud.
The CFSSP designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of bank security. To qualify for certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the security profession, pass an exam and abide by a code of
ethics. The CFSSP exam covers many areas including security devices, crimes, investigations, life safety; the Bank Protection Act; electronic funds transfer security and criminal referral reporting obligations.
