Anybody missing a snow machine??

Just saw an older black pickup truck not running well stopped in front of my house - Took off and the snowmachine shot off the back and the skis appeared to be dragging on the ground - I believe the snow machine was black also.  Went up the road towards Fletcher, but did not get a glimpse of it again.  Something did not appear right - Looked like somebody was stealing a snow machine from somewhere and in a hurry to move on.

More Info has come in - Also the truck had a loud exhaust, two men in the vehicle.  The snowmobile was black with a red bottom in the front of the sled.  Most likely a 70's-80's snowmobile from the style.  They were seen on Skunk Hill Road and turned left headed towards Milton around 2:30 PM.  The truck is believed to be a GMC Sierra.

The owner has recovered the stolen snow machine, thanks to about 4 different people who saw something suspicious and reported it.  One of the biggest helps was the photo - I saw the truck and knew it was an old black truck with maybe some white on it, but that certainly was not a great description.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On December 8, 2011 at approximately 1353 hours, concerned citizens from
Fletcher Road in Fairfax, VT called to report that they just obtained the plate
from the vehicle they observed the day before, stealing a snowmobile.  These
same neighbors also provided a picture they took of the truck, leaving the scene
of the burglary with the stolen snowmobile in the back.

Upon running the vehicle's plate through DMV, VSP checked the address of the
registered owner, Bradley Therrien.  Neither the truck involved nor the
snowmobile were located on the property however investigations lead VSP to
Therrien's cousins residence, Ronny Therrien.  Upon arriving at this residence,
VSP recovered the stolen snowmobile. 

Upon speaking with Ronny Therrien, Ronny admitted to stealing the snowmobile,
claiming he believed the snowmobile was abandoned.  When speaking with Bradley
Therrien, Bradley stated Ronny asked him for his help however told Bradley he
had legally purchased the snowmobile. 

The neighbors that reported the incident initially stated the truck left the
scene with the snowmobile in the back of the truck at a high rate of speed
causing the snowmobile to partially fall out of the truck.  This lead VSP to
believe that both Ronny and Bradley knew they were stealing the snowmobile and
tried doing so in a hurry.

Both Ronny and Bradley were released on citations and scheduled to appear in
Franklin County district court on January 20, 2011 at 1pm.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
Vermont State Police are investigating an attempted theft from the Little residence in New Haven.  The victim reported that she observed 3 subjects leaving her driveway carrying her snow plow attachment.  Little advised that she was able to surprise the three subjects who dropped the plow and left the area on foot.  Police are attempting to identify the three subjects.  Please contact Trooper Armstrong at 802-388-4919 (New Haven Barracks) with any information.
