Bob & his family lived for a number of years on The Nichols Road. Bob was the brother-in-law of Sam Perry who married Alice LeClair and had transferred to Manassas before Sam's death.
St. Albans – Robert Carl Lavee, 78, a longtime resident of this area passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care with his family at his side. Born on July 11, 1933, in Colchester, he was the son of the late, William and Lillian M. (Patterson) Levee.
On October 1, 1955, in Winooski, Robert married Beatrice Perry, who survives him.
Robert served his country in the United States Army and United States Air Force, during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. He was honorably discharged on November 1, 1972, following over twenty years of service. He then became a Security Officer for IBM in Essex and retired following fifteen years of service. Robert was a member of Green Mountain Post # 1, American Legion, Robert E. Glidden Post # 758, Veteran of Foreign Wars and St. Albans Lodge # 1566, B.P.O.E. He was an avid outdoorsman, including hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Beatrice of St. Albans; their children, Deborah Graziano and her husband, Philip, of Highgate Center, Stephen Lavee and his wife, Pamela, of Franklin, Diane Lussier and her partner, Ron Perry, of Swanton and Michael Lavee and his wife, Susan, of Manchester, NH; his grandchildren, Tanyastar Kim, Christopher Lavee, Kari Lavee, Edward Mattison, Jr., Jeremy Graziano, Robert Mattison, Kalyn Mattison, Timothy Linehan, Joshua Lavee, Lindsey Lavee, Tara Jolin and Glenn Bacon, Jr. and several great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by his sister, Hilda Morrill of Winooski; his brother and good friend, Bill Levee and his wife, Michelle, of Colchester and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Linehan; son, Robert Lavee, Jr and brothers, Burt Lavee and Floyd Levee.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, from 4 to 7 PM at the American Legion Hall on Parah Drive in St. Albans. A private graveside service with military honors will take place this spring at the family lot in the St. Albans Bay Cemetery.
