JOYCE RUTH MEUNIER FAIRFAX - Joyce Ruth Meunier, 75, died unexpectedly Monday evening, April 30, 2012, in the Northwest Medical Center, in St. Albans. Joyce was born on Feb. 21, 1937, in Burlington, the daughter of George and Ruth (Merrick) Gagnon. Joyce graduated from Burlington High School and Champlain College. She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Vermont Air National Guard following 26 years of service. She was an avid bowler and bingo player and enjoyed her gambling trips to Akwesasne. Mrs. Meunier is survived by her son, Todd Meunier and his wife, Michelle, of Georgia; her daughter, Carla Whitney of Milton; her grandchildren, Reese, Stacey and Serena Meunier; a brother, Ronald Gagnon of Bakersfield; and her best friend, Debbie Peck of Milton. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia St. Amour; and her son-in-law, Todd Whitney. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012, at noon, in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. Burial will follow in the Milton Village Cemetery.
