ROBERT J. ‘BOB’ TEAGUE

UNDERHILL - Robert Jonathan “Bob” Teague, age 41, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on May 6, 1965, in Boston, Mass., son of Judith B. Gates and Robert M. Teague.
Bob married the love of his life, the former Paula Thayer on June 9, 1990, in Jeffersonville, Vt. He was employed by Harbor Industries and had worked as a machine operator. Above all Bob was a devoted and beloved father. He took great pride in sharing with his three precious girls the thrill and passion of hunting, Bob was always looking forward to the next hunting adventure. Even though life was too short Bob was still able to share his hunting passion with his youngest daughter Audrey. Her first year of hunting would unfortunately be his last, but these treasured times will remain forever in their memories. Bob was an avid Sportsman and also had a passion for muscle cars. His interest in cars led him to attend Wyoming Technical Institute where he learned the skill, which he used to restore his cherished 1974 Red Chevy Chevelle that he purchased when he was 16. Bob continued to make “improvements” on his Chevelle throughout his life.
Bob will be greatly missed by those who had the true pleasure to have known and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Paula (Thayer) Teague of Underhill; his three daughters: Amber Teague and her friend Cory Wilson, Andrea Teague, Audrey Teague, all of Underhill; his mother, Judith B. Gates; maternal grandmother, Eunice Gates; father and mother-in-law, Philip and Pearl Thayer; brother-in-law, Philip Thayer and wife, Sherri; sister-in-law, Penny Whitney and husband, Ed; his Aunt Deborah and Uncle Jerrol Gates of Jeffersonville, and their children Tyler Gates & Lydsae Ruchira and husband “Oat;” and several nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by maternal grandfather, Jonathan E. Gates; uncle Jonathan V. Gates; and his two faithful companions, “Zeus” and “Bear.”
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful doctors and loving staff of the Hematology and Oncology Department at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2007, from 5 to 9 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Second Congregations Church in Jeffersonville with the Reverend Peggy Tooker officiating.  Burial will be in the spring in the family lot in Jeffersonville Village Cemetery.

Box 64700, Burlington, Vt. 05406. Those who wish may forward their online condolences by visiting www.awrichfuneralhome.com.
