FAIRFIELD, Vt. -
A Franklin County man was killed Wednesday in an ATV crash. The accident happened in Fairfield just after 9:30 a.m.

Police say Charles Boylan, 60, of Fairfield, crashed on West Street. Boylan was transported to the hospital in St. Albans where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. Boylan was not wearing a helmet.
