The balloon this evening.

I started taking pictures on the Woods Hollow Rd in Westford, and came along Rte.128 to Fletcher Rd in Fairfax.

"Above Reality Balloons with Jeff Snyder"

JoAnne Wilkins tapped on my kitchen window and as I looked out, I saw this:

He swung the balloon East to skip Mary Kay's big willow tree:

And cleverly maneuvered it to set down in her back yard

Jeff Snyder came over and talked to Mary Kay and I to make sure it was OK to be there - I had met him a number of years ago -

He brought out champagne, along with some crackers and cheese and we all partook of the refreshments after he had asked Mary Kay if it was OK to do that

He showed me the name on the bottle of champagne which he told me was associated with Vermont - Of course I know nothing about champagne

A nice change of pace for a beautiful Sunday Evening here in Mary Kay's back yard - Thanks to JoAnne for sharing these photos with us

Awesome photos!  Looks like you had a great time!

I posted to Mary Kay on Facebook that we had a balloon land in our backyard a few years ago, but it was early in the morning.  In fact, I was still in bed!  Anyway - the chase van backed down the driveway and we all watched as the balloon was loaded and such.  They also had a lovely bottle of champagne that they shared with me.  The thing that I will always remember was one of the chase team had the plastic champagne glasses and he took the bottom off one of them and put it into the ground and poured water into the glass as I had my Rex with me.  They even included the dog!  I got the rest of the bottle after the toast was done.  I went inside and had mimosas for breakfast!!

Very cool.  I'm not sure I'd get in one, but they are definitely cool to see.

The boys got Jim one for Father's Day quite awhile ago.  He said he would go again in a heart beat if it wasn't so expensive.  It cost about $300.00 then.  Cannot imagine what it is now.  He landed in McNall's corn field where the football field was.
