RUTH E. (BEVINS) (GABAREE) O'BOYLE


SOUTH BURLINGTON - Ruth E. O'Boyle, 87, died early Friday morning, March 30, 2007, in the Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester. Ruth was born on June 9, 1919, in Fairfax, the daughter of Ira and Eliza ( Reynolds ) Bevins. Ruth worked at Fonda's for many years, retiring in 1973. She was a very hard worker at whatever she did. She was also very successful selling Tupperware and Avon. She was married to James Gabaree, who predeceased her in 1980. She later married Jim O'Boyle, who also predeceased her. She is survived by her children, James Gabaree Jr. and his wife Rita of Fairfax, Lorraine Pease and her husband Donald of Vergennes and Florida, and Beverly Gingras and her husband Meddie of South Burlington; by several grandchildren; and many greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Charlene Sweet and her husband Robert of Jeffersonville; and her brother, Lloyd Bevins and his wife Gyneth of St. Albans; and by several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her sons Jean in 1977 and Stanley in 2000. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, at 10 a.m. in the Georgia Plains Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Kuthe officiating. Burial will follow in the Milton Boro Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. [/b]
