While in Kingsford, MI we visited the BOSS snowplow factory. The President personally escorted us through the plant. I asked him to call Smithy's in Swanton, VT where I bought my plow and say Ed wanted him to know all is well.

Then we visited the Pictured Rocks National Seashore in norther Upper Peninsula. That body of water would be Lake Superior.

A visit to the Cornish Museum producted this picture of a World War II Glider, which were produced in Michigan.

All in all it was a good visit to Kingsford.

While in DeWitt we visited Alex's Mother-in-Law, Carol. We spent time at President Ford's Museum, Grand Rapids and Uncle John's Cider Mill, St Johns, MI. The Presidential Museum was well done. It's split into the Library at Ann Arbor and the Museum at Grand Rapids, MI. As the only president from Michigan, he deserves to be different.

The cider mill provided opportunities to play bus driver, so I took advantage of it. We also did wine tasting at Carol's place to sample wines from the trip. That reminds me that we also did wine tasting at Dave & Susie's place in Kingsford, MI and Bill & Hilde's place in Olathe, KS.

Our next stop is the Battle of Tippecanoe at Remington, Indiana. Of course you remember the president slogan, "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too"?

We're definetly on the home stretch!

My home state.  A great place to wet a line and drown a worm or two.
