ENOSBURG FALLS – Charles J. “Chuck” Shaw, age 65, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at his home in Enosburg Falls.

Chuck was born November 23, 1946 in Fletcher, VT the son of the late Frederick & Katherine (Gillilan) Shaw.

He was a graduate of BFA Fairfax class of 1964. His hobbies included working on cars, playing cards and hunting & fishing in his younger years. He served in the Vermont National Guard and worked as a feeder truck driver for UPS for 31 years, retiring in 2000. Chuck was proud of the fact he was able to enjoy 12 years of traveling to visit family and friends with his faithful companion, Max before he passed away. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #42 in Enosburg Falls and the St. Albans Elks Lodge.

Chuck is survived by his son, Michael Shaw and his wife DonnaSue of Grand Isle; his daughter, Candy Bosley and husband Larry of Berkshire; grandchildren, Keith and his wife Caitlin, Peter, Couper and William Shaw, Jason, Alan and Victoria Derby; step-grandchildren, Heather, Megan and Hunter Bosley; his siblings, Mary Gervais and her husband Peter of Enosburg, Diane Pfieffer of Greenwich, NY, Steve Shaw and his wife Deb of Broken Arrow, OK, Eric Shaw and his wife Margaret of Cambridge, NY, Lorie Bullman of Santee, SC and Scotti Shaw of Isle LaMotte; his brother-in-law, Bruce Enders of Lorida, FL; several nieces & nephews and a special friend, Jane Cossens. Besides his parents Chuck was predeceased by his brother, George Shaw and his sister, Rosemary Enders.

In keeping with Chuck’s wishes there will be no public services at this time.

For those who wish, contributions in Chuck’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency – Hospice Program, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478 or to the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478.

The Shaw family lived on the Sam Webb Road in Fairfax for a number of years and they attended school in Fairfax.
