Preparation for Potential Storm and Debris

As you are probably aware, there is a potential for Hurricane Sandy to hit Vermont early next week.    Attached is an informational flyer regarding managing storm debris, including household hazardous waste (HHW) and clean wood.  In the event the storm causes damage in your area, be prepared to distribute the flyer widely so people will know how best to separate debris.

There may be a need to conduct collections  of HHW in your area after the storm.   Unless your area has access to a permanent HHW collection site, you may need to conduct supplemental HHW collections.

Please contact me if you have any questions.    Thanks, Cathy
