yes the St Albans railroad station, I remember seeing troop trains there

Lots of St Albans residents worked there.  Used to have a Flagman there that sat in a teeny tiny building that came out and stopped traffic when trains went by.

Thanks, Henry for posting this.  Many of the folks at the Bay Church worked at the railroad, and I was curious to see what it looked like when the trains were more active than they are now.

St. Albans has many beautiful buildings. We especially enjoy driving the road above the park. The line of buildings there is so impressive.

Yes, I used to work in the building on the right during the 1980's.  The building on the left has arleady been demolished.  Beautiful buildings.

Back in 1951 when I graduated from High School I remember going down and applying for a job there.  Jobs were mighty scarce back then and I had heard great things about the Railroad, but that was not to be for me.

YES-one of my second homes--rode many trains out of there over the years-my Dad (Bob Luman) retired from the RR many years ago. Up ALL THOSE STAIRS in the building,the RR had their Credit Union-Bank--MAN - there were a lot of stairs to climb-especially for a kid-- GREAT MEMORIES of the buildiing and the Round House where they kept the locomotives..That was down of Federal Street.
