The McGue/Rowell House at 1140 Main Street once housed the old telephone switchboard that was operated by Harriet McGue.  Property transfers show that Gabe & Diane Handy recently purchased it.  If you would like to  view the History on the house, click on the following link and you can see the different people that used it during the years:

One of Mom's best friends was Harriet's daughter Katie.  I remember going to the house as a kid when Katie and her family came up before we would all go camping at Metcalf Pond and used to think that porch was huge! 

I love hearing the history of the local homes and what they used to do for the community!
