SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 8/1/13 at approximately 05:45 hours, State Police in Middlesex responded to a report of an ATV collision on Emery Road in the Town of Orange, VT.

Investigation indicates that a 34 year old Williamstown male and a 41 year old Williamstown female were traveling west on Eastman Rd on a Polaris ATV. The ATV traveled through the intersection of Emery Rd where it traveled off the west side of Emery Rd and collided with a tree.

Both male and female subjects were thrown from the ATV. They were not wearing helmets. Both subjects were deceased at the scene. The collision was not witnessed and both subjects were located by a passing motorist.

The male and female were transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington where an autopsy will be performed.
