Visit the Town of Fairfax Web Site for Garbage:

Still confused why they picked up one week and not the next.  Apparently our entire street was left in the dark with this information so it just wasn't me.

I would contact the Select Board to discuss. I have put the link below and if you click on their name many have a number to contact. Chris Santee is in the hospital, so please do not select him.

Also the bottom of the note about the Garbage for Private Roads says

Please contact the the Selectboard Office at Town Hall if you have further questions,

Get the form signed or put it at the end of the road on a non private road, have no idea where you live, on the day your trash is to be picked up and your trash will be as well.

All the resources you need are in those two links.

Progress is in the works.  Have been calling Duffy's since 2:30 pm.  Have left several messages with no response.  This is something that should have been taken care of prior to to the town signing a contract with them.  (Getting your ducks lined up shall we say) As a tax payer and having to drive my trash to the end of the road when the previouis company was working just as well is unreasonable.  I guess the town wants to save money and have residents drive their trash to the end of the road.  NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!!!

I'm having good luck with Duffy's (and always have had to take my trash to the end of the private road for pick-up).
Hope things improve for those of you that are experiencing problems.

Good luck in getting someone at Duffys to pickup the phone or return a call. In my experience they aren't capable of doing either. We attempted go call them after the Wednesday pickup. Had to leave a message that still hasn't been returned. They took my garbage and recycling but other garbage or recycling fell off their truck on the other side of the street at the end of my road. It was still there this morning even thou we called them Thursday to come and get it.

FYI I just spoke with Joe from Duffy's. Anyone on Hunt St  will not be having trash picked up tonight.

Maybe they will pick up the garbage by the school lot that fell off their truck last week.

They missed my garbage on Wilkins Rd. Not a big deal, I'll put it back out next week. I just hope they get it next week.
