...A LINE OF HEAVY RAIN AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE
THROUGH THE CHAMPLAIN VALLEY THROUGH 11 AM...

AT 940 AM EDT...A LINE OF HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM PLATTSBURGH SOUTHWARD TO
TICONDEROGA...MOVING EAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

HEAVY DOWNPOURS WILL CAUSE WATER TO POND ON ROADS AND IN POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS. THERE MAY BE RAPID RISES ON SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO...
CUMBERLAND HEAD...THOMPSON POINT...SAWYER ISLAND...KEELER BAY...

BE CAREFUL WHEN DRIVING. PONDING WATER ON ROADWAYS CAN CREATE

VERMONT...NORTHEAST VERMONT...NORTHWEST VERMONT AND SOUTHERN
VERMONT.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SLOW-MOVING SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME
INCREASINGLY WIDESPREAD ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY DURING THE LATE
MORNING AND THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE
HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND SCATTERED CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES.
LOCALIZED HEAVY RAIN COULD RESULT IN MINOR FLOODING WITH ANY SLOW
MOVING THUNDERSTORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THE SAME WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR ADDITIONAL
SLOW MOVING HEAVY SHOWERS AND LOCALIZED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ON
FRIDAY. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS WILL BE THE
PRIMARY THREATS WITH THIS ACTIVITY DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ON
FRIDAY.

OTHERWISE...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS CURRENTLY EXPECTED DURING THE
PERIOD.
