He was in our back yard (near Steeple market) yesterday evening when I was working in the garden, and seemed lost and hungry. We gave him some food and water, sat with him for a while, then he ran off. I called animal control so he wouldnt be running around randomly, but it was too late in the evening, and I did not see him this morning when I left for work.

Yes, his owner called & claimed him; someone visiting the area & pup decided to explore; glad it turned out well!!!  We posted it on FB also in hopes to find his real owner; the POSITIVE aspect of the internet for sure.  Thanks to all who helped, especially the family that took care making he was safe!!

This handsome boy was yet again retrieved by some nice caring people! The young woman was even taking him walking last night trying to find his rightful owner! So we got the pleasure of meeting her & her husband & luckily I recognized him from his last lost/found time.  I called the previous "finder" who kindly called the owner's number again, gave him mine so they could be reunited once again at the caring young couple's  home who kept him safe!!  He really is a nice dog; sure hoping his owner starts to make sure he is safe at all times as living/being on Main Street is NOT safe for a precious, faithful companion to be wandering.  He has been very lucky so far & sure hope he stays safe! I do believe we have some ordinance with animals being kept confined in our own space!  There is a part of me that says this is my 2nd time helping this pup be returned & 3rd time, well, he is mine & I will keep him safe!

I think I saw this dog wandering around again this morning near the school. The owners don't seem very good at keeping track of their pet.

Poor Doggie..... owners do not seem to play an active role in his care.  A dog to get loose once in a while would be one thing but this seems to be a regular routine now.
