$180,000 well looks like its up for sale. It would be nice to see a whole new start and business plan for this once successful restaurant. I believe it needs diverse business. Creamee's, and summer specials on the deck, a dynamite sunday breakfast, and a good dynamic menu. Wish I had the time and money. . . Be interesting to see how this plays out.

Is it the building that is for sale or just the equipment? I feel that it will make little difference in what goes in there with a $5000 plus lease per month. You could build 4 of those building for less of a payment.... $5000 is a lot of burgers and creamees every month.

If it is in fact the Building, that is promising news.

I couldn't find the listing online, but it is most likely with building only on leased land for that price.

Ok so I called seems kind of weird, their is an ad on craigslist stating 111 seat restaurant for 180k in Fairfax. Now the realtor says its for lease for (as stand alone says) $5k per month with option to own the equipment. So I guess we are back to square one.

I heard at Roger's barber shop that the owner of Apollo diner in Milton is going to buy the pantry. Could be just barber shop rumor

The 'guy' that owns Apollo also owns 2 or 3 other restaurants. He lives in Fairfax!

I also heard "on the street" that the owner did not fix the air conditioning, and was the final straw for the manager. With this hot heat this summer, you need air to attract customers. Just saying!

Why would anyone buy that for $5k? If they did, you know it's not a good business plan. As stated before, you could get so much more for that same price. I'm sure you could find better space for lease. Especially if you're responsible for all the equipment. You could spend all that money on a new building with new equipment and own the space. Granted the lease contains your long-term costs.
My vote is for Chinese.
