Joey Hayes Dad Passes Away At Age 67

THOMAS W. HAYES STILLWATER, Okla./ BURLINGTON, Vt. - Thomas W. Hayes, 67, of Stillwater, Okla., formerly of Burlington, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2014. Tom was born on Feb. 23, 1947, in Colchester, the son of the late Yvonne Hayes. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and Rice High School, graduating in 1965. Tom served in the United States Air Force. He was employed at IBM for many years and was president of the IBM Club which put on many events. Tom was an avid fan of the Cowboys, Notre Dame Football, Red Sox Baseball and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Stillwater, Okla.; children, Joseph Hayes of Colchester, Sean Hayes and wife, Michelle, of Colchester, Dawn Hayes of Burlington, and Steven Hayes of Essex; former wife, Theresa Bickford; grandchildren, Emily, Ryan, Conner, Brandon, and Logan; and great-grandchildren, Josephina, Madeline and Kataleena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will be in the spring. There will be no visiting hours. Immediately following the funeral service there will be a reception at the RVA, 84 Weaver St., Winooski.
