Back in the mid 1970s & 1980s a large number of people in this area & Milton had CB Radios.  One of the best known CBers here in Fairfax was Stan Driscoll who used to live in the little house across from Steeple Market.  CBers would not think of driving through town without giving Stan a shout.  Stan knew everybody in town and even though he was blind could give excellent directions to motorists looking for someone here in town.  In Milton, the most popular CBer was "June Bug" who was a nurse and between her & Stan, if anybody had problems on the road, they could get help for them.  Of course Maryann & I each had a CB in our cars plus a base antenna that could also reach out quite a ways.  A lot of good friendships were developed via The CB Radio during this time which was pre cell phone and actually the only way to get word that you were in trouble and needed help.  Also we didn't have the Internet, so if something was going on in town, one could spread the word pretty quickly.  They did mention in her obituary about June Bug, but just had to mention it as it was also an interesting period in the life of Rabbit Man & Lady Rabbit, now known as Henry (KYX7497) & Maryann.
