ROBERT "BOB" PICHE

WINOOSKI - Robert "Bob" Piche, 80, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on March 2, 2015, in UVM Medical Center. Bob was born in Winooski on Oct. 16, 1934, to Ruth (Packard) and Isadore Piche. Bob married Pauline Leclerc on May 3, 1958, in Winooski. Bob graduated from Winooski High School and served two years in the U.S. Army as an MP stationed in Hawaii. Afterward, Bob went to work for General Electric in Quality Control as an inspector and planner. He retired as manager of QC planning in 1989. Left to cherish Bob's memory are his wife of 56 years, Pauline; children, Karen Allen and husband, Brian, of Grand Isle, Timothy and wife, Deb (Pepin), of Grand Isle, and Jeff and wife, Michelle (Thebarge), of Fairfax; along with seven grandchildren; and nine greatchildren, with the tenth due in April. He was predeceased by his father, mother, and seven siblings. Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of the Boston Red Sox, and devotion to family. The family is grateful for the wonderful team of medical practitioners at the UVM Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Williston at 11 a.m. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.lavignefuneralhome.com.
