JACQUELINE ALICE BERARD

 - ST. GEORGE - Jacqueline Alice Berard, 78, died unexpectedly on early Sunday morning, April 26, 2015, in the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Jackie was born on Dec. 30, 1936, in Middlebury, the daughter of Leonard and Alice (Bolduc) Boise. She had attended nursing school at an early age. Jackie married Raymond Berard on Sept. 28, 1957, in Bristol. She was a very strong Christian with a great faith in God. The focus of her life was her family and faith. Jackie had worked as the Front End Office Manager for over 28 years at Lantman's IGA. She was an avid reader of biographies, and loved flowers and birds. In addition to Raymond, Jackie is survived by her children, Kimberly Soodak and husband, Lawrence, of Wayne, N.J., Shawn Berard of Burlington, Kathleen Berard-Brown and husband, the Rev. Jeffrey Cornwell, of Fairfax, Dennis Berard and wife, Julie, of North Hero, Michael Berard of Hinesburg, and Laura Berard and husband, Timothy Williams, of Boston, Mass.; and grand- children, Matthew and Jaimee Brown, and Kristen and Nathan Soodak. Jackie is also survived by her brothers and sister, Raymond Boise and wife, Theresa, Elizabeth Choiniere and husband, Mark, Roger Boise and wife, Wilma, and Rodney Boise and wife, Deanna; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Matthew; and brother, Robert. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Community Alliance Church in Hinesburg. Burial will follow in the family lot in Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington. Friends may call on the family from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495; or to your local library. Online condolences may be made to www.minorfh.com.
