Obituary: Terry Blair Elwood
Dateline:  Alburgh, Vermont

Terry Blair Elwood, age 53 years, died Saturday morning, August 1, 2015, at her North Main St. residence with loving family at her side.

Born in St. Albans on, April 4, 1962, she was the daughter of Florence (Bedard) Blair and the late Romeo Blair. She attended Alburgh Schools and graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School.

Terry’s work experience included Mylan Technology, IFC Fulfillment Center in Champlain, NY and the Alburgh Golf Links. She will be especially remembered for her great love of cooking and the operation of Terry and Daughters Home Bake Shop. A very kind and loving person Terry was always lending a helping hand and was especially devoted to her mother Florence.

In addition to her mother Florence of Alburgh, Terry leaves three daughters, Deana Elwood of Windham, ME, Ann Elwood of Rouses Point, NY and Morgan Elwood of Alburgh; a granddaughter, Shelby Royea; her brother James Blair and his wife Trudy of Alburgh; the father of her children, Dean Elwood of Alburgh and her friend and companion, Robert Ives of Alburgh. She was also very much loved by her nieces and nephews including two very special great nephews, Blake and Ricky.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 10 a.m. from St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church, 9 N. Main St., Alburgh Village. Father Thomas D. Nadeau will be the celebrant and homilist. Assisting as Deacon will be The Reverend Mr. Duane Langlois.

The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Blair family lot in St. Amadeus Cemetery.

Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Gifts in Terry’s memory may be made to the Alburgh Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue, 4 Firehouse Rd., Alburgh, 05440.
