Gilbert Charles Paquin

Fairfax – A largely attended funeral service for Gilbert Charles Paquin, who passed away Friday, September 14, 2007, was held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at the family farm, “Pleasant Acres.”  Leader of the service was Kevin Lendway, Minister of the Cambridge congregation of The Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.

In attendance was a large delegation from Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, Burt Paquin Ford, Paquin Motors and North Country Nissan.

Also in attendance was representation from Peoples Trust Company, Fairfax Town Offices, Northwestern Medical Center, University of Vermont, Cioffi Prudential Realty, Bellows Free Academy of Fairfax, Bellows Free Academy of St. Albans,  Class of 1981, St. Albans City Fire Department, Fairfax Fire Department, Goss Dodge, Business and Professional Women, Foothill Bakery, Titan Construction Company, Montcalm Real Estate, Lang McLaughry and Spera Real Estate, Clarence Brown, Inc., Fletcher Town Offices,  Champlain College, Georgia Fire Department, Hair Artistry by Louise, Bakersfield Country Club, Kittell, Branagan and Sargent, Handy’s Dealerships, Fairfax Rescue, Collins Perley Sports Complex , H J & A. Howrigan and Sons, Inc., TD Banknorth,  TD Banknorth Wealth Management Group, Smith Barney, Vermont Maple Outlet, Dick Wright Ford, C.T. Plumbing and Heating, Cambridge Fire Department, Murray Construction Company,  Coldwell Bank Real Estate, Hartman Construction, Twilight Construction, Rainville Auto Body, Tom Hungerford Insurance, Beverly Court neighbors,  Greater Burlington Industrial Development, A.N. Deringer, Inc.,  Vermont Funeral Directors Association, Spears Funeral Home, Ready Funeral Home, S.B. Collins, Inc., Progressive Auto, Camp Pre Cast, St. Albans Lodge, #1566, B.P.O.E., many area farmers and sugar makers.

Casket bearers were Gilbert’s son, Dylan, future son-in-law, James St. Pierre, nephews; Nicholas Guertin, Christopher Heald, Andrew Gross and Zachary Gross, brother-in-law, Kevin Gross and close family friends; Steven Clokey and Jeffrey Clokey.

Private interment services followed at the family lot in Fairfax Plains Cemetery, with favorite scriptures being read by the family and then fond memories were shared. A luncheon followed at “Pleasant Acres” hosted by the “Kitchen Fairies”, Kim Williams, Lindsay Ryan, Nancy Hurt, Nancy Mead, Louise Webb, Marie Keefe, Denise Cota, Cheryl Boissoneault, Jill Cleary Mackey,  and their spouses and countless others who pitched in to help the day go smoothly.  A special thanks to Orin Tilton, Brian Durett, Tom Cook, Bob Covey and Bob Brown for their assistance for the service.  Assisting Gilbert’s family is the staff of the Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans.  [/b]
