Fairfax – Willo T. Scott, 84, left us on Thursday, September 15, 2016.

She was born on February 22, 1932 in Claremont, N.H. the only daughter of William J. Wilson of Canterbury, N.H. and 6th child of Marguerite Wilson Johnson of Claremont. N.H.

Willo attended school in Claremont N.H. and Manchester N.H. She married Chester P. Scott, Jr. in 1951 and they began a rich and challenging life. Willo worked several jobs in her lifetime.. She also delivered mail between post offices when they lived in Warner, N.H. She worked at the Springfield Reporter in Springfield, VT, in classified ads and home delivery. Her favorite job was as a real estate broker. She started out a Martin Parker Realty in North Springfield and eventually she bought the company and founded W.T. Realty. She was loved by employees and customers alike. It was more than a career to her, she found so much joy in helping her clients the perfect home. Her most loved job was raising her 5 children.

She was involved in many kinds of charity work over her lifetime from delivering meals to needy families, knitting prayer shawls and in Florida she worked at the Care Connection helping people with Alzheimers and their families. She was quick to take food and cheer to shut-ins or friends who were sick.

She loved to cook for 1 or 20. She loved music, dancing, reading, gardening, raising orchids, sewing, knitting, and spending time with her beloved grandbabies and great grandbabies. Every summer they would travel from Florida to Gremlin Cove, their beautiful haven on Ricker Pond in Groton, VT. It was a special place for Willo and she loved spending her summers there with family and friends or just quiet times with her husband. After moving to Florida, she found she had a talent and a passion for painting in water color. She was modest about her talent but she was very good.

Her faith was strong and was so pleased with her time as a parishioner at St. Luke’s in Fairfax where she could be found on an almost daily basis. It brought her so much peace and strength. She was so very fond of Father Furman.

Willo was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Chester P. Scott, Jr; her son Bud Scott and an infant son Daniel. She was also predeceased by all of her 5 siblings. She is survived by her daughter Donna Parfitt and husband Sam of Sheldon, VT; her son William Scott and wife Lucinda of North Springfield, VT; her daughter Angela Scott and companion Dan Fortier of Waterville,VT; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the EMTs of Fairfax Rescue, the doctors and nurses at the E.R. and the first floor of Northwest Medical Center for the care they showed her and them on September 15, 2016.
A funeral Mass will be held on September 30, 2016 at 10 am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Fairfax to be followed by a get together at 15 Old Academy Street in Fairfax, hosted by her beloved friends who live at 15 Old Academy Street.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity, it would mean so much to Willo.
