Ray Jenkins (center) of Colchester answers a question from Sen. Bernie Sanders (right), I-Vt., during a news conference Thursday in Washington, D.C. Jenkins, 101, was named "America's Oldest Worker 2007" by Experience Works. Cynthia Metzler (left) is president and CEO of Experience Works.

They had a brief video on last night at the end of the Channel 3 News.  Ray was all decked out in what looked to be a nice new dark suit, sporting a great smile.  Will try to find a place that might have the video on the Internet so you can see him if possible.  Ray has worked almost 30 years at The Champlain Valley Fair since his retirement from IBM where he had another full working career.  Below is some of the conversation in the video:

Ray Jenkins took the day off from the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction.  Something he doesn't do very often, but this day is an exception. At the age of 101, the word retire is not in his vocabulary.  Ray Jenkins told the reporter,  "If you don't keep busy, keep your mind active, forget it." Jenkins is being honored at the Experience Works Prime Time Awards Program in Washington.  Ray is the outstanding oldest worker in America 2007.  Senator Bernie Sanders introduced Jenkins as a productive member of the community. He said,  "He becomes a model and an example for people all over this country."  Jenkins shares his award with all working senior citizens. And he has advice for the younger crowd.  "Take your job, enjoy it, no matter how you might hate it, enjoy it. Do what you are supposed to do and look for a better job."  Now that's great advice at any age. Emily Wood, Channel 3 News, Washington
