Albert Raymond Ledoux, 76, a Fairfax resident since 1968, died on August 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Montgomery, on November 20, 1941, son of Ruth Carr Ledoux and Herbert Ledoux. Albert was raised in Bakersfield by close family friends John Kennedy and John’s sister, Meme Kennedy.
Albert entered the U.S. Army on February 03, 1959 and was stationed in Korea during his service. He was also a truck driver for over 50 years.

Albert is survived by his wife Gloria Ovitt-Ledoux, his children Margo, Michael and Marie; step-children Sam, Carol, Robbie and Joan; brother Ronald; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who greatly blessed his life.

Albert was predeceased by his daughter Michelle “Missy” Alaine Ledoux, sister, Donna, and brothers Donald, Carroll and Pete.

Albert was known by many as Papa, Daddy, Al or Ray. For the past 38 years he and his loving wife Gloria took care of each other and their blended family.

When he was not working Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and restoring antique cars.

Many memories were made while deer hunting with his family and friends.  Fishing with his grandchildren gave Albert great joy and happiness.

Albert beautifully maintained his garden, lawn and trucks. He always kept the many trucks he owned, as a self-employed truck driver, clean and shiny.
Albert loved restoring antique cars. He took great pride in his 1956 Chevy Bellaire, 1966 Dodge Charger and 1966 Dodge Dart.

Albert was always willing to help his neighbors, friends, family or even someone he had just met. He worked hard, but he also enjoyed life.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Eagles Club, 42 Center Dr., Milton, VT 05468. The Memorial Service will be at 12 - 1pm and Celebration of his Life to follow will be 1 - 6pm.

The family also invites you to share your memories and condolences by visiting A.W. Rich Funeral Home website at www.awrfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, Albert wished to have donations made to the Jim Bashaw Fund at NMC Attn: Jeff Moreau, 133 Fairfield Street, St. Albans, VT 05478.
