Hi All,

Well, we learn something new everyday and hopefully I am going to be able to relate this the way it was told to me.  If I make a mistake, please let me know.

Sitting down at the fire station is this piece of rescue equipment provided by the Fletcher Roughriders.  Should anyone be injured in an area not reachable by normal means, in the summer, I am told that the Fletcher Roughriders will try to provide an ATV to bring this equipment to the injured.

It contains equipment to immobilize the injured so they can be brought to the ambulance

Above are the skis that can be substituted for the wheels in the winter so the equipment can be brought to the site.  Again, the Fletcher Roughriders will do their best to provide a snow machine to do this.

Now from time to time we hear a lot of complaints about the snow machines and ATVs - Obviously from what I saw today, this group certainly tries to help the community.[/b]

Hi All,

Interestingly enough, I had never seen this piece of equipment or heard about it until yesterday.  Just saw several Fairfax Fire Trucks go up by and another pickup truck with a trailer with this equipment on it headed up towards Fletcher.  I understand someone has been injured up there -- Hopefully it isn't serious

Luckily this is a piece of equipment we only have to use a couple of times each year.  But is very handy when we do.
