On this snowy November 16, 2007, 16 BFA Fairfax Middle School Children worked very hard bringing 1292 items from the classrooms to the School Bus then unloaded them up at the Baptist Building where Rev. Elizabeth, Dot Root and Peg Stewart were anxiously waiting for them. There are no names of the youngsters due to their ages, but they truly were an energetic group and seemed to enjoy the good deed.

To view a slide show that contains 36 photos of the youngsters at work, click on the following link:

The 'other lady' is Dot Root from Westford.  When we combined the Westford and Fairfax food shelf operations I was fortunate to have Dot join me.  We are partners in the food shelf.   She is a delightful and amazing lady.

We both would like to thank publically the young people, their families and their teachers for undertaking this grand competition.  We were overwhelmed and overjoyed to receive such bounty from the middle school.  It is always inspiring when we reach out and help each other;  that is  what community is all about!  Mr. Daniels and Mr. DuPlessis  are to be commended for inspiring the young people to collect such bounty for our community food shelf.
Many thanks.  Happy Thanksgiving!
