Bernard & Margaret Fisher owned Minor's Country Store prior to Lee & Louise Minor

Mrs. Margaret T. Fisher, 74, died shortly after arrival Wednesday morning, January 9, 2008 in the Northwestern Medical Center, with her loving family at her bedside, following an extended illness. She was born in Troy on September 17, 1953 daughter of the late John and Iuna (Smith) Breault. She and her husband Wilson "Bernard" Fisher operated Fisher County Store in Fairfax. She was formerly employed in dietary service at the University of Vermont. Margaret was caring and devoted to her family, calling her children and sisters on a daily basis. She loved her children and grandchildren. Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed walking and baking.

Margaret married Wilson ‘Bernard" Fisher on October 29, 1953. They celebrated their 54th anniversary, this past year.

Besides her husband, Bernard, Margaret is survived by three daughters and their spouses Suzanne and Dennis Macomber of High Point, N.C., Deborah and Joseph Bousquet of Essex, Patricia and Robert Marquette of St. Albans, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters Katherine Boudreau of Quinebaug, Ct., Alice Norton of Gorham, Me., Yvonne Breault of Westbrook, Me., Jeannette Wardof South Portland, Me., sister-in-law Evelyn Thompson of Essex. She was predeceased by her parents, father in 1965, mother in 1994, her son David Fisher in 2006, sisters Lucette Breault in 1942, Helen Breault in 1991, Blanche Breault in 1993, Gabrielle Breault in 2003, her brother-in-law Edward and his wife Ramona Fisher.

Margaret’s husband and family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Franklin County Home Health staff, Northwestern Medical Hospital and Intensive Care Staff, AmCare Ambulance Service, LifeLine Associates, Dr. Michael Corrigan, Dr. Sanjay Bhapia and their many neighbors, who have been so kind and caring to the Fisher family.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. from 6 to 9 P. M. Friday. Interment will be in the Fisher family lot at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, vt. 05478.
