Disabled Veterans - Appraisal Reduction Benefit

Hi All,

Was down at the town office last week and Richard Warren mentioned that there was a benefit for Disabled Veterans who have at least a 50% disability related to combat duty.  I don't know the procedure, but I am sure if you have a disability, our listers can tell you what you need to do.  For 50%, the way I understand it, you get $10,000 off the appraised value of your house.  If you have more than a 50% disability, I believe the reduction on the appraised value of your house is a little more.

Richard was telling me that a lot of Combat Related Disabled Veterans are not aware of that.
