This is a bit premature, as I will not actually be hitting the road for another 10 days or so, but I have accepted an offer to become the editor of a paper down in Levy County Florida. It is fairly close to where I was raised, and was essentially too good to pass up. Still, I struggled mightily with the decision, and will miss Fairfax quite a bit.

I will continue to monitor the goings on here via VtGrandpa.com, and will drop a line or two from time to time.

So, thanks much for the memories. They were much too brief, but great nonetheless.

Sorry to see you leave Rick, but I am sure you will do a great job as Editor of the paper down in Florida.  We have enjoyed your brief stay here in Fairfax.  I have the issues of your Fairfax Breeze saved - Maybe they will become a collectors item.  Mike Cain usually saves Fairfax Papers, so I suspect he has them up at the Museum.

Your Fairfax Rick ID will remain on The Fairfax Information Websites for you to use at any time.

Thanks to both of you for your kind words. I really like this place, and would have liked to have stayed longer. Just didn't work out that way. If it is any consolation, the Fairfax Breeze will live on -- in Levy County Florida. Less snow pictures, more alligator pictures.
