Burlington Free Press Discontinues Franklin County Edition

When I got my Free Press yesterday, I noticed I did not have Franklin County Edition across the top of the front page.  They had a notice that they had discontinued the stand alone edition due to a lack of participation.  It was also a real nightmare for them with some motor route carriers sometimes crossing through three counties and trying to get them to deliver the Franklin County Edition to just those in Franklin County.  They tried rearranging routes, which at least for some of us here in Fairfax was quite a disaster.  I don't think I have a regular carrier yet and Saturday, once again, I did not get my Free Press. Ironically, it was the same day I got a notice in the mail that they are raising my rates.
