Essex Junction Store Called The Dollar-Twenty-Five Store Now
The cost of doing business goes up and up as gas prices continue to rise, and ultimately those costs get passed on to you, the customer.
At the Dollar Discount store in Essex Junction, the owner tried to resist, but finally raised prices. Call it the dollar-twenty-five store now.
"Minimum wage has gone up...taxes have gone up. There's no way to avoid it," says owner Kelly Dorman. Dorman hopes she won't have to become the dollar-fifty store anytime soon.
Most other discount stores have already waived the "only a dollar" rule on their merchandise.
