BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Federal officials say in court papers that a missing Vermont girl's uncle brought her home and took her upstairs to have sex.

In an affidavit, officials say a teenage girl admitted helping herself had been having sex with Jacques, 42, since she was 9 in a sex ring called Breckinridge. She said she was told Brooke was going to be brought into the ring that day.

New information in the case of missing 12 year old Brooke Bennett. Federal affidavit quotes a teenage girl saying she helped Michael Jacques lure Bennett to his Randolph, VT home for sex on the day she disappeared. Log on to wwww.fox44.net for more information. Complete report coming up tonight at 7 on the Local News on ABC22.

Now we will begin to discover just how many folks knew Jacques was up to NO GOOD but made the decision to do NOTHING!  Both Mother and Father HAD to have known about this relatives background.  Makes you wonder about many things ...

If it turns out the Uncle committed murder, the only thing I'd like to feel for Mr. Jacques is recoil.  He deserves nothing more than death.  I know that subject is taboo with many people in this world.  But, if he took the life of this beautiful young girl, he DOES NOT deserve to get 3 meals a day and a warm place to sleep.  For those that are against the death penalty, it is your taxes that will pay for him to live the rest of his life in realitve ease and peace...

The death penalty is a sensitive subject.  I use to be totally for it, for similar reasons. NOW, i'm on the fence. why do we give criminals all the basic human rights of law-abiding  folks?  Why do we NOT  take up " An eye for an Eye" sentencing?  Why do we not torture them fo rthat matter?  For all the suffering you caused and from your crime, will continue to cause relatives of vicitms of crime like this, why not torture them everyday of thier lives?  Feed them only stale bread and dirty water?  Let them defacate in their cells and live in it day in and day out.  only let them out to shower 1 a month and maybe give them a soap that severely hurts their wounds from all the torture?

Perhaps the last few question began to shed some light on why we don't do these things?
At some point, we lose our sense of being civilized.  Of normality, of humanity.  At some point, we'd step back from that and say, "what have i become?  We've become more of an animal than this criminal.  We've slid further down on the evolutionary scale because we've had designed an existence for another that is preventable yet we chose to inflict it on others for our sense of justice - which is already compromised by our closeness to the crime. ( anyone with kids or normal would be emotional over the victimization of a child - especially by trusted adults).  Don't get me wrong here, if i knew the girl, or in a different situation, my daughter had been kidnapped, raped and killed..... i wouldn't care what the jsutice system said or did - even if it was death.  I'm sure in the beginning of my processing it and greiving, i'd want to take the criminal's life myself.  But if we give up on the system at any one point, it compromised it all.

In the end, it's our own grief and anger that would make those things seem plausible.  If our society ever adopts any of the things mentioned above, you'll know we've stopped evolving and started regressing.  As civilized, intelligent beings, we must always move forward, and nver backward in terms of progress.
