Just had our first load of fuel delivered on a pre-buy.  We pre-bought at $4.59 and I asked the guy what the going rate was today and he told me it was $3.69.

They dropped off 230 gallons, so it actually cost us $207 more by doing the pre-buy.  One never knows.  The driver was telling me that they had customers last year that did a pre-buy and they were by the end of the year paying over $2 less per gallon than the going rate was.

We have to look at it this way, there are a lot of poor people having difficulty buying the fuel oil at $3.69, which now, at least to us, seems like a bargain.  We do have to feel good about that.
