Don't Fall For This E-Mail Scam

I received the following E-Mail which is an obvious scam, but before I trashed it, thought I would take a screen print of it and put it up to warn all of you - This is a scam.  The IRS is not going to send you and E-Mail:

That should be easy enough to trace back if the domain is actually active.

I would find another e-mail address for the IRS( a real one) and send them that letter. See if it's real.
Any accountants out there? What do you think?

That's a very good phishing expedition.
www.irs.gov is the IRS's web site.

I will dig deeper.

irs.com as the sender is phishy.
irs.gov as the link (different from sender) is their first oversight.

I put my cursor over the link to see what the actual link was it would take me too and I came up with the following:

I replied to that e-mail address with my tax info and bank account.

A guy from King Kenya deposited $9,000.00 into my account!!

kidding.

Henry, with your mouse over it shows the phisher .net address.

Seriously...
Send this on to your State AG and I am sure they will look into it.

There is a well known guy up here who was on the news Friday who needs funding for cancer treatment.
There is already a spam going around soliciting "for him".
