Just heard this morning that one of my nephews who has worked for Vermont Heating & Ventilating in Burlington for 24 years has just been laid off - No indication how long.  I am sure there are many more out there.  If you have a story you don't mind telling, read the following and contact Matt Ryan of The Burlington Free Press

The sour economy affects daily life in a variety of ways, but those who feel the pain most are those who have lost their jobs. Vermont’s unemployment rate is at a 15-year high, and state officials predict the numbers will only worsen.

Have you been laid off recently? Are you a victim of the current economic crisis? Share your story.

Contact reporter Matt Ryan at 651-4849 or mryan@bfp.burlingtonfreepress.com to share how you and your family are coping in these difficult times.
