...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 AM EST MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...ALONG WITH AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ACROSS THE NORTHERN ADIRONDACK MOUNTAINS IN NEW YORK...AS WELL AS THE UPSLOPE AREAS OF THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL GREEN MOUNTAINS IN VERMONT...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 AM EST MONDAY.

OCCASIONAL SNOW SHOWERS WILL PRODUCE 2 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW BY LATE THIS EVENING. THIS SNOWFALL COMBINED WITH NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH...WILL CAUSE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ALONG WITH BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILL READINGS BY LATE THIS EVENING.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
