"Opponents of the pay reduction argued that not all lawmakers could afford to give up $31.25 a week. Legislators receive $625.36 a week."

"Some opponents of the cut argued that lawmakers are sharing the pain. By trimming the length of the session by two weeks, their salaries will drop from $11,256 to $10,005."

They also receive a meal allowance and mileage or hotel money not included in the $625.36 per week.  I used to have a link to how our local reps voted, but don't have it any more.  Read more on the proposed cut by clicking on the following link:
