Remember Reading Somewhere

Seems to me I remember reading or hearing somewhere that BFA used to let the boys off from school to work in sugaring, but for the life of me can't seem to find it or know exactly where I heard it. Happened to run across a comment written on The Burlington Free Press Web site from somebody who went to high school here in Fairfax:

Got the following note from one of the guests:

"Hi Henry,
When I was at BFA in the 60's, the boys used to be excused from school for sugaring. At that time, a lot of the community was comprised of farmers, who had sugarbushes. They were also excused for other farming activities, such as planting or harvesting."
